Privacy and Security
When using eCTAS, hospital staff are responsible for:
- following hospital privacy and security policies
- abiding by the eCTAS End User License Agreement
- accurately documenting patient triage information and taking
corrective action when an error occurs
In addition to your hospital’s privacy and security policies, follow
these guidelines when accessing and using the eCTAS Clinical End User
Application and/or System Administration Console:
- Never share your user name or password
with others
- Never post your user name or password
in a place where others can see or access it
- Always logout of eCTAS when not using
it, or when leaving your workstation
- Store all printed or exported personal
health information from eCTAS securely
- Shred or destroy all printed or exported
personal health information from eCTAS when no longer needed
