Two types of validation are performed on received messages:

The WTIS interface engine returns an acknowledgement message to the facility source system after HL7 validation. This can be either positive, or negative, in which case it will outline the specifics of the HL7 message received.

Both successful and unsuccessful message types are stored in the WTIS database. Message details can be accessed through the MFM functionality within the WTIS.

Note: The WTIS will not partially process a message. Any message that results in an error is not processed. If one part of a message is wrong the whole message is deemed wrong.
