One WTIS Procedure Code is mapped to one Hospital Procedure Code.

Facilities use this method to indicate which WTIS procedure codes they will report to the WTIS, however they do not specify all the hospital procedures that they report under each WTIS Procedure Code.  Therefore it is essential that facilities internally track which hospital codes have been mapped to WTIS codes (i.e. using an Excel spreadsheet)

Eligible Surgery facilities mapping "one to one" must:

  • Enter the WTIS Procedure Code in the Hospital Procedure Code column
