Request Exclusion Via Data Quality Management Process

Note: The option to Request Exclusion is only available for closed WLEs. If Request Exclusion is chosen, the user cannot use the Confirm Data is Accurate option.
Important: To request exclusions for closed WLEs that were not flagged via the Data Quality process, see Editing Closed Waitlist Entries.
  1. Log into the WTIS. If prompted to select a profile, select Hospital Coordinator (ALC or DI/Surgery).
  2. Select Data Quality Management.
  3. Review the list of Waitlist Entries for Review, use Advanced Filters to refine the list as necessary.
  4. Open a Waitlist Entry (WLE) by clicking on the WLE ID number.

The Flagged Record Level indicator(s) section displays data quality indicators flagged for the WLE.

The Corrective Action section displays actions that can be taken, options vary depending on the indicators.

  1. Select the Request Exclusion checkbox and select an Exclusion Reason (mandatory), next steps depend on Exclusion Reason selected:

Inaccurate Data- Replacement WLE Required
  • Click the Save button.
  • Read the warning and click OK if you wish to proceed.
  • If you click OK, any other indicators associated with this WLE will be removed from the Waitlists for Review list and a new WLE pre-populated with patient demographics appears. Ensure you have viewed all indicators flagged for this WLE before clicking OK.
  • If you select Cancel, the WLE remains flagged on the Wailist Entries for Review list (not excluded), the process to create the replacement WLE stops and you are returned to the Wailist Entries for Review list.
  • Enter correct waitlist entry information and save.
  • The erroneous waitlist entry is automatically excluded and the new waitlist entry is linked to the flagged WLE and patient.
Duplicate WLE
  • Click the Save button.
WLE Created in Error
  • Click the Save button.
Other
  • Enter the reason for exclusion (mandatory) in the Other.
  • Click the Save button.
