CTAS Score Override
A nurse may increase the system generated CTAS score if clinically appropriate
- Click the arrow up button until the appropriate CTAS score appears
- Enter an override reason from the drop down list

Note: CTAS score overrides can only be used to increase, not decrease a CTAS score if deemed clinically appropriate by the nurse. |

Note: When clinically appropriate, triage nurses can deselect modifiers, which may lower the initial CTAS score. It is good practice to document a reason for deselecting modifiers in the Notes or Reassessment fields e.g. patient appears well. |
